Dear colleagues and friends of yeast research,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the "26th International Conference on Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology" to be held at Frankfurt University, Germany, from August 29th to September 3rd, 2013.

Frankfurt/M. is located in the middle of Europe and can be easily accessed from around the world via Frankfurt Airport. The historical Campus Westend of Goethe University is going to be the venue of the conference. It is one of the most impressive university locations in Germany with an extraordinary architecture.

Campus Westend is in walking distance (approximately 1 km) from Frankfurt city centre and is well connected by public transport.

Yeasts are key model organisms in eukaryotic research and in addition play a significant role in many biotechnological processes. The conference is intended to attract all researchers using yeast in their research as model organism or in biotechnological applications.

The main meeting covers highly significant research fields and is open for all yeast species. In addition Satellite Symposia will cover specific requests with non-conventional yeasts.

The conference will start with a get-together on Thursday, August 29th, 2013. The lectures will commence on Friday 30th, 2013 at 10 a.m. A social event (ship cruise on the Middle Rhine Valley, world culture heritage) combined with the conference banquet will take place on Sunday, September 1st, 2013 followed by two further days of lectures and workshops.

To make sure that the conference gives an overview of the latest developments
in yeast research we will focus on keynote speakers and selected contributions of participants.

We look forward to welcoming you in Frankfurt.
